[In the forest a man is just waking up to find himself sitting against a tree wearing nothing but the cotton white pants. When he fully awakes, his movements are slow and tentative as though expecting pain.]

What...where am I? Could this be Lost Jerusalem? Not exactly how I expected to see it...[He hadn't expected to be seeing anything. The darkness had fallen bringing a sense of peace with it, yet now he felt alive. Normal except-]

[There's a sudden hiss of pain as his back starts to protest.] Ah, what...? [When he reaches to find what is causing the pain he lets loose a sound of surprise] Feathers? Wings? [He leans forward letting his hand fall away from his back and onto a book.]

Hm? What is this? [He picks it up and flips it open.] How odd. It appears to be a...computer of some sort? In book form?

There appears to be more going on here beyond my understanding...

Think of it like a nice little area that's barricaded off from the rest of existence, in another world, that kidnaps people from their worlds so that these guys called the Malnosso can perform experiments on us against our will and permission.

In short. There are plenty of people who would rather stay here, though, for various reasons. There are also a lot of people who want to get out.

So far, but from what I've seen there's been a severe lack of organization and teamwork.

If there are those who want to stay it is an understandable problem.

That's because no one's considered just working on the problem rather than destroying it yet.

There are people here who don't have anything to go back to. We need to make this place safe for them and get everyone else back where they belong.

That...would seem an ideal circumstance. [Said cautiously]

It's not like I'm expecting it to work out perfectly. [ She knows damn well nothing ever does. ] But the goal has to be high right?

It does seem a worthy goal.

Would you be interested in helping out?

Ah. [He was starting to expect this.] I would prefer not to make any commitments just yet. However, it would seem a goal worth investigating and once I have a better understanding of this place, I may be interested.

[His tone takes on a light almost teasing note.] I would also appreciate knowing your name.

You mentioned experiments. What sort of experiments do they conduct?

A bunch of different kinds. From what I've heard, they're all supposed to be geared toward getting us out of here. From what I've experienced, forcing us to fall in love with people we might not even like or know and erasing our memories don't exactly have anything to do with that.

[A raised eyebrow at that one.] Perhaps there is something beyond our understanding [way beyond], but that doesn't useful or informative for them, unless they like to play.

They probably just like to play. It wouldn't even be as bad if they asked for volunteers, rather than just did it without our permission. Especially the memory thing. For some of us memories are all we have.
